The conversation at the Saturday Night Live (SNL)
FEY AS PALIN: "Don't refer to me as a 'MILF.'"
POEHLER AS CLINTON: "And don't refer to me as a [flurge].
What does Flurge stand for?
Nobody seems to get the point. Flurge (or however it is spelled), in not a word itself, it is an acronym. Just like Milf means "mother I'd to f_ _ k, Flurge also "stands" for something. The trouble is, no one knows, and it is not something to look up in a dictionary. I have been googling too, and so far no luck. Some people are having fun trying to make up meanings, but no one seems to know yet. So far, my guess is that they just made up a word that sounded funny, but someone will come up with something that works.
Flurge is a verb. It means a cross between flush and purge.
Example of using the word "Flurge"
"I flurged the wax from my ears."
According to Urban Dictionary,
Flurge is - A cross between flush and purge. The usage is defined as “I flurged the wax from my ears.”
What is interesting though that people hear the word somewhere and think its either Flurg, or Flirge, or Flerge, or Flerg.
It happened with me once when I heard during Democratic National Convention that Obama has won by, what I thought and what it sounded like to me, acclimation. Of course the word was something similar but different.
The word Flurge became famous and came into national consciousness during a skit performed by Saturday Night Live (SNL) that parodied Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton.
